Unlike many sports, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the game of golf.
Interested in PLAYING GOLFIndustrial provides the opportunity for students with golf experience to play competitive golf at the high school level. Students need basic knowledge of rules and golf etiquette. Our golf season only last 3 months, it is virtually impossible to learn how and be competitive in golf in this short amount of time. If you are new to the sport and would like to play, you need to start at the beginning of the school year, not Feb. 18th.Golf Player Requirements1. Pass a Golf Rules and Etiquette Test. Go to Practice Golf Test - Golf Rule Books may be used on Test2. Pass a basic Golf Ability TestSuggested Materials Needed1. Current Golf Rule Book Example2.
