• A Little Bit About Me

I was raised in Inez and graduated from Industrial High School in 1999. I attended Tarleton State University on a volleyball scholarship and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports studies with a minor in business administration in 2004. I currently live in Ganado with my husband, Jesse, 12 year old daughter,  Madison, and 10 year old son, Ryan. I love spending time with my family and just relaxing at home!

I am beginning my 16th year of teaching. In 2003 I began my teaching career at Millsap ISD as a Varsity volleyball & softball, junior high basketball coach teaching health, PE, and careers. In 2006 I got my elementary certification and began teaching 2nd grade at Springtown ISD. In 2008 I was offered a position at IEE as a 4th grade teacher so we decided to move back home!! I taught 4th grade for 2 years and am beginning my 9th year as a 3rd grade teacher.

I was very honored to have been named the IEE & District Elementary teacher of the year for the 2013 school year. From this honor, I was also awarded the Region 3 teacher of the year for 2013. I feel truly blessed to teach with and learn from some of the most gifted teachers around.

I am anxious to get another year started and get to know my students. I love working with the awesome people at IEE, and teaching in the best school district!
