Industrial Junior Honor Society is an organization that strives to represent leadership both in and out of the classroom.
Members are initially invited to join if their academic average in the Core subjects meets the 90 average standard.
Students are then asked to complete forms that show achievement both in and out of the classroom and in their community.
It is very important that students interested in achieving membership are well rounded citizens, even at the early age of 7th or 8th grade.
Involvement in UIL academics, leadership roles, volunteering in the community are just a few areas that will help meet the expectations of what we encourage our members to strive for.
Once membership is established the group is expected to continue to work in service areas outside of the school as well as be role models and leaders in our school.
Our Industrial Junior Honor Society earns money though work at concession stands.
We also sponsor events such as Pennies for Patients, our school's Knowledge Bowl, money to enhance the beauty of our school, Veterans Day Ceremony, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and provide our staff with a Teacher/Staff appreciation lunch.
Students grades are checked each six weeks to make sure the members are maintaining the high level of achievement expected of them.
It is a great honor to be sponsor of these wonderful kids.
