What is Dual Credit

• Dual credit courses allow eligible high school students to enroll in college-level courses while simultaneously earning high school credit.

Who Can Participate

• Dual credit opportunities are available to students in high school who meet specified college readiness standard scores. Dual credit has something to offer to freshman-seniors. Victoria College requires all students wanting to enroll in Dual Credit to attend an informational session.

Steps for Enrolling in Dual Credit

1. Attend a required Dual Credit Informational Session
2. Apply to Victoria College at www.ApplyTexas.org (allow 3-5 business days for processing)
3. Complete the testing requirements
4. Confirm classes with the counselor
5. Submit required Dual Credit documentation
6. Complete required Pirate Orientation through Victoria College
7. Submit payment by the deadline
